Software and Controls Engineer
\nBSc or equivalent engineering degree in electric/electronic, controls, mechatronics, automotive, mechanical engineering or related technical field is preferred.
\nPrevious professional and industry experience in model or code based software development (like Matlab Simulink, C++, C#, Python) is required.
\nProfessional experience and knowledge of development processes (e.g., PTE Controls and Systems Engineering Process) is also required.
\nKnowledge of standards such as ASPICE and ISO26262, and domain-specific knowledge (e.g., Powertrain, Vehicle) is preferred.
\nFluent speaking and excellent writing skills in English (German, French or Italian would be a plus).
\nResponsibilities:
\nDefine and develop system requirements, architecture, and test concepts for controls and functions.
\nDevelop control algorithms, schematics, including initial calibration datasets.
\nPerform system integration, testing, and validation, including rapid prototyping and hardware-in-the-loop testing.
\nDevelop embedded software for embedded control, including requirement engineering and software architecture.
\nIntegrate software into electronic hardware control units and provide commissioning and support at customer locations.
\nDevelop innovative algorithms for future mobility, create and update software applications, and optimize development processes and tools.
\nTravel the world for environmental tests in different and exciting locations (e.g. USA, Austria, Finland, Spain).
\nWork with AVL Global experts to keep up with latest technologies and industry trends.
